Frankly saying most people are not against <b>demonetization</b>. I was myself very happy with the announcement of <b>demonetization</b> but as soon as I heard about new 500 and 2,000 currency note not compatible with ATMs, I was so disappointed.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
Here are few things I would like to point out that could have been avoided to make this movement a success.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
Problems with <b>Demonetization:</b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. It is not demonetization but the lack of planning that is actually creating chaos. <b>New 500 and 2000 Currency is not compatible with ATMs</b> and so need to be recalibrated. It seems to be like u say we have bought a new house but you cant enter it. Only way to enter is from the rooftop and the old one is useless now. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Lack of currency at Banks and ATMs.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Why cant banks simply give tokens to all those standing by and make them relax, walk, talk, eat nearby or at home and come according to their turn. I am sure some banks have already this feature and some even have apps for the same but the public is not aware of the same and even bank is not interesting in creating awareness.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Several kiosks could have been stalled at crowded as well as remote areas with adequate security.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. How can my parents deposit cash in my account while I am studying in Delhi and my parents live in Bihar.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6. What if a person with no bank accounts want to exchange 2,3 lakhs in 7 weeks where cash exchange is limited to 4500 per week.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
7. Why not advertising or even making efforts to popularize or create awareness among people regardig <b>UPI</b> (Unified Payment Interface) which has greater potential then PAYTM and other wallets that are highly benefitting these days.</div>
<br />
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
At this point of time after so much sacrifices it is also not wise to rollback the decision but the government, RBI and Banks must chalk out several measures to end or atleast reduce the chaos.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
Even the local administrations and political parties should come together and help people.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
Political Party Volunteers can easily do such things and they have done earlier too like in Odd-Even, Swach Bharat Abhiyan etc.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">
Forgive me for any mistakes or if I hurt anyone.</div>

There's a lot of uproar on conversion these days which is creating a lot of chaos. We have seen in Agra & Gujarat. <strong>Anti-conversion bill</strong> is being seen as an initiative to stop all this.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For me its like if I am studying Hindi then I won't be allowed to study English or any other language which is not at all welcoming. All the religions have their own teachings on way of life and religious practices which is being taught and practiced by them in their own community, religious places, religious gatherings and even there are places of learning for them. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Though we see these days teachings and practices vary a lot still teaching is propagated everywhere to be practiced. So, if someone likes the teachings, or the way of life and practice of other religion why not he/she be allowed to practice that on his/her own will.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes, there must be some law or provisions against forced, bribed, lured conversion. But if anyone wants to follow or practice or learn some other religion and its teaching peacefully with his/her own will or by being fascinated with their practices then he/she must be allowed to do that and no one should have any right to torture them or force them to re-convert.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So from my own point of view <strong>Anti-Conversion Bill</strong> should not be passed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">There's no intention to hurt anyone or his/her feelings, forgive me if I hurt some-one un-intentionally.</span></div>

After watching a movie at <b>Centre Stage Mall</b> Sector 18 <i>Noida</i> we decided to go to <i>Nizamuddin</i> as we felt hungry. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was with three of my friends travelling in a car on the way to Nizamuddin....We were in our own mood, talking, singing making fun of each other until my friend applied a sudden break....We saw someone lying on the road near the nizamuddin-bhogal bridge. We stepped out and when saw the person it seemed he was dead and presumed that somebody might have struck him and fled. But when we came near and heard him screaming in low voice. He was unable to say anything other than aah uuh. Other vehicles were passing by as we parked the car midway as to prevent another stroke to him. Some even stopped and joined us we didn't know what to do. Some wounds were seen on his head. They were like holes and even the blood had dried or better say the man had no blood in him to shed. We decided to put him on the median (divider) on the road to prevent further chaos. After placing him on the median we requested several autowallas to help us take the man to the hospital but no-one agreed. Everyone tried to get rid of the situation. Even a policeman was there and when we approached him he also tried to flee. But when we shouted on him and asked him to call the police van, he instead asked us to dial 100. Even the policeman was unable to stop any autorickshaw.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After some time a pcr van came and when we asked them to take the old man to the hospital they instead started enquiring. what happened? How did the accident occured? Was it you who struck him? But there were some people who were qithbus from the start and explained them that he was already lying on the road and nobody knows how. And then they said ok we are taking a U turn and then take the man to the hospital and they never did the U turn instead went ahead and stopped there. Another pcr van came. They were from the local police station. They also enquired and noted our vehicle no and went ahead. When we forced him he showed us another pcr van approaching and said ask them they will take him.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We were like what the hell is going on. Even the police is not doing anything then who the hell will do. Will Krrish or Shaktiman will come to protect this man. Finally when that pcr van approached policemen didn't want to take him on their van as it would get bloody or dirty. They removed the floor cover of the vehicle and asked us to carry the old man and keep him on the floor. We carried him to the van and he was still screaming and shivering. After they went we asked other policemen that why did they note our vehicle no they said not to worry. The first policeman who was nearly from the beginning whom we didn't allow to run started saying you don't understand we have our work our duty and all bla bla.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I really don't get this. What has happened to us, our people, our society no one ever cares about others. Even some of them who stops they only enquires and instead advise you do this, do that and all and go off.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I even felt that there are some glitches in law that some people who want to help resist because of police questioning and harassing them.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But nobody thinks that it can be us, our family members, friends, relatives, or our loved ones in place of old man and if this situation goes on nobody will help us too.</div>

<b>INTRODUCTION:</b><br />
First garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent:<br />
<br />
First Charbagh garden in India<br />
<br />
Architect: Mirak Mirza Ghiyas<br />
<br />
Spread over 30 acre(120,000 m2)<br />
<br />
over 2500 trees and plants, including mango, lemon, neem, hibiscus and jasmine are planted in the gardens.<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Main Tomb is placed in centre of a 30-acre (120,000 m2</li>
<li>Persian-style garden with quadrilateral layout and was the first of its kind in the South Asia region in such a scale.</li>
<li>The highly geometrical and enclosed Paradise garden is divided into four squares by paved walkways and two bisecting central water channels, reflecting the four rivers that flow in jannat, the Islamic concept of paradise.</li>
<li>Each of the four square is further divided into smaller squares with pathways, creating into 36 squares in all.</li>
<li>The central water channels appear to be disappearing beneath the tomb structure and reappearing on the other side in a straight line, suggesting the Quranic verse, which talks of rivers flowing beneath the 'Garden of Paradise'.</li>
<li>The central walkways, terminate at two gates: a main one in the southern wall, and a smaller one in the western wall.</li>

We came across some choices that most of the people make and effect us in decision making.</p>
<p dir=ltr><i>We accept the default choice</i></p>
<p dir=ltr><i>We make worse decisions over time</i></p>
<p dir=ltr><i>We make better decisions in the morning</i></p>

<h2>
Construction (1671–1673)</h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Construction of the <b>Badshahi Mosque</b> was started in May 1671 and was completed after two years in April 1673.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Badshahi Mosque was built opposite the Lahore Fort, emphasising its stature in the Mughal Empire. It was constructed on a raised platform to avoid inundation from the nearby Ravi River during flooding. The mosque's foundation and structure was constructed using bricks and compacted clay. The structure was then clad with red sandstone tiles brought from a stone quarry near Jaipur in Rajasthan and its domes were clad with white marble.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Inscribed in a marble tablet on the entrance of the Badshahi Mosque are the following words in Persian:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“The Mosque of Abul Muzaffar Muhy-ud-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb Alamgir, Victorious King, constructed and completed under the superintendence of the Humblest Servant of the Royal Household, Fidai Khan Koka, in 1084 A.H.” </div>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">
Architecture and design</h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The architecture and design of the Badshahi Mosque closely resembles that of the smaller Jama Mosque in Delhi, India. Its design was inspired by Islamic, Persian, Central Asian and Indian influences. Mosque is bold, vast and majestic in its expression.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The steps leading to the Main Prayer Hall and its floor are in Sang-e-Alvi (variegated marble). The Main Prayer Hall is divided into seven sections by means of multi-foil arches supported on heavy piers, three of which bear the double domes finished externally in white marble. The remaining four sections are roofed with flat domes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The interior of the Main Prayer Hall is richly embellished with stucco tracery (Manbatkari), fresco work, and inlaid marble.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The exterior is decorated with stone carving as well as marble inlay on red sandstone, specially of lotiform motifs in bold relief. The embellishment has Indo-Greek, Central Asian and Indian architectural influence both in technique and motifs.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The skyline is furnished by beautiful ornamental merlons inlaid with marble lining adding grace to the perimeter of the mosque. In its various architectural features like the vast square courtyard, the side aisles (dalans), the four corner minarets (minars), the projecting central transept of the prayer chamber and the grand entrance gate, is summed up the history of development of mosque architecture of the Muslim world over the thousand years prior to its construction in 1673.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The north enclosure wall of the Mosque was laid close to the Ravi River bank, so a majestic gateway could not be provided on that side and, to keep the symmetry the gate had to be omitted on the south wall as well. Thus, a four Aiwan plan like the earlier Jama Mosque in Delhi, could not be replicated at the Badshahi Mosque.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The walls were built with small kiln-burnt bricks laid in kankar, lime mortar (a kind of hydraulic lime) but have a veneer of red sandstone. The steps leading to the prayer chamber and its plinth are in variegated marble.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The main prayer chamber is very deep and is divided into seven compartments by rich engraved arches carried on very heavy piers. Out of the 7 compartments, three double domes finished in marble have superb curvature, whilst the rest have curvilinear domes with a central rib in their interior and flat roof above. In the eastern front aisle, the ceiling of the compartment is flat (qalamdani) with a curved border (ghalatan) at the cornice level.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The original floor of the courtyard was laid with small kiln-burnt bricks laid in the Mussalah pattern. The present red sandstone flooring was laid during the last major refurbishhment (1939–60). Similarly, the original floor of the main prayer chamber was in cut and dressed bricks with marble and Sang-i-Abri lining forming Mussalah and was also replaced by marble Mussalah during the last major repairs.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are only two inscriptions in the Mosque:</div>
<ol>
<li>On the main gateway entrance</li>
<li>Kalimah in the prayer chamber under the main high vault.</li>
</ol>

<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">About the Scholarship:</span></strong><br />
The RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship has been running since 2007. <br />
The spirit of the scholarship is based on Lord Foster's own experience as a student of architecture: <br />
'As a student I won a prize that allowed me to spend a summer travelling through Europe to study first hand buildings and cities that I knew only from the pages of books. It was a revelation - liberating and exhilarating in so many ways. Today it is my privilege to fund the RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship, which I hope will have a lasting legacy - offering the chance for discovery and the inspiration for exciting new work - for generations to come.'<br />
Thanks to the generosity and support of Lord Foster and Foster + Partners, the scholarship has supported six students seeking the same inspiration. </div><div></div><div><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><br />
