Samsung Series 5 Chromebook unveiled



Nothing but the web.
Chromebooks are built and optimized for the web, where you already spend most of your computing time. So you get a faster, simpler and more secure experience without all the headaches of ordinary computers.

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook requires a Google account to log in, which means that each users' previous actions and Web history, even if on another Chromebook, are remembered from the previous session.

The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook powers up when opened, giving users immediate access to the Web and Google's cloud services.

On the left side of the laptop, from left to right is the power, a VGA connection, a USB connection, and the headphone jack.

Wednesday night at an event in San Francisco, Samsung unveiled it's Series 5 Chrome, a first of it's kind cloud-based laptop running the Chrome OS.

A dedicated search button on the keyboard opens a new tab and places the cursor in Chrome's omni-bar to perform a search.

The standard function keys along the top row of the keyboard have been removed. Instead, there are more Web-specific keys. On the top right, an ESC key, followed by Forward and Back web browser buttons, Refresh, FullScreen and a button to cycle through Windows, as well as brightness adjustment and volume adjustment.
