Its the sequel of "Gangs of Wasseypur" based on real life story of Wasseypur, a small town in Jharkhand where Sardar Khan's sons are at war with Ramadhir Singh's men, the local leader.

Gangs of Wasseypur II start where the first part ended where Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) was assassinated and goes on with revenge from Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia) and the rest of the movie shows people being killed at short intervals. Its all about revenge and rage.  

Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) son of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) becomes the head of the family and see his relatives and keens being killed by rival gang. He wows to be the most dreaded man of Wasseypur and kill Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia).


Part two released today with a new level of violence and bloodshed. The story was written by Zeishan Quadri of Wasseypur and directed and produced by Anurag Kashyap.

Although the story is of Jharkhand most part of the film has been shot in Uttar Pradesh.
